At the site of the 6th team in Weihai, Wang Guanghua and his party visited the cadres and employees of the 6th team, visited the history exhibition of the 6th team, and learned about the exploration and scientific research achievements of the 6th team. Over the past 65 years since the establishment of the six teams, they have adhered to the original intention of prospecting and serving the country, and have bravely made innovative breakthroughs in the exploration of mineral resources such as gold. They have identified a total of 2810 tons of gold resources, making them the largest geological team searching for gold in the country. In 1992, he was awarded the honorary title of "Heroic Geological Team with Outstanding Meritorious and selfless dedication" by the State Council. Entering the new era, the six teams have accumulated 1268 tons of proven gold metal, making outstanding contributions to economic and social development.    

Wang Guanghua emphasized that the natural resources system should seriously plan and promote a new round of strategic breakthroughs in mineral exploration. First, increase policy supply, stimulate mining investment, and prosper the mining market. Focusing on creating a good mining market environment, we will study and formulate a package of policies and measures to encourage mining investment, carefully study and absorb opinions and suggestions from the industry and grassroots levels, continue to improve policies such as comprehensive exploration, opening up the secondary market for exploration rights, collection of mining rights transfer proceeds, registration and management of mineral resources exploration and mining, and "net mining" transfer, and encourage and mobilize geological exploration units, mining enterprises, and other aspects to actively engage in finding large and good mines. Second, strengthen scientific and technological support for mineral exploration and development. China's mineral exploration has shifted from shallow to deep, from outcrop ore exploration to ore exploration in overburden areas, and from low mountain areas to high mountain deep cut areas. As the difficulty of ore exploration continues to increase, theoretical innovation must be used to guide the direction of ore exploration and technological innovation must be used to support exploration and development. Geologists should devote themselves to strengthening basic research and constantly innovating metallogenic theories and prospecting models; The rich geological data accumulated in geological surveys and mineral exploration should be fully exploited and utilized in the new round of strategic breakthroughs in mineral exploration; The Ministry will further improve the science and technology incentive mechanism, and geological exploration units and mining enterprises should make full use of the central, ministerial, and provincial talent incentive policies. In the strategic action of mineral exploration breakthrough, efforts should be made to cultivate a group of geological prospecting talents, making greater contributions to the comprehensive construction of a modern socialist country.

Wang Guanghua and his team visited the Sanshandao Gold Mine in Laizhou for a field visit. This is the first super large gold deposit discovered by the sixth team in China in the 1960s and 1970s. Through in-depth exploration and research of the altered rock type gold deposits hosted in the large fault zone, Sanshandao Gold Deposit and adjacent Jiaojia Gold Deposit, the sixth team established the Jiaojia type gold mineralization theory, breaking the traditional understanding that "the large fault zone only conducts ore but does not store ore", making a significant breakthrough in China's gold exploration and having a landmark impact in the international geological community. In recent years, Shandong Gold Group, which operates the Sanshandao Gold Mine, has continued to increase its efforts to "explore deep and blind areas", actively conducting mineral prospect surveys, and achieving a super large scale of proven gold resources in adjacent areas. Wang Guanghua and his entourage had in-depth exchanges with mining enterprise leaders and technical experts to gain a detailed understanding of the key scientific research issues in deep and peripheral exploration of Sanshan Island, the construction of green mines such as resource conservation and rational utilization, ecological restoration, tailings pond closure project, and the construction of "5G+" smart mines.

After that, Wang Guanghua and his team investigated the disposal of historical issues left over from reclamation, sea use guarantee for major projects, industrial land guarantee, and economical and intensive land use in Yantai and Weifang, and held a symposium.
